Links to other webpages regarding Partnership with Parents:
Class pages – these pages have newsletters pertinent to the curriculum for each class for each half-term plus photographs and event information and links to other support materials such as the Phonics Training video we use in school for our Phonics Workshop sessions.
Parent Partnership Award – the criteria achieved for parent engagement and some of the outcomes from achieving this award twice include: Parent Voice; termly Parents’ Forum meetings; 24 hour response to parent telephone class/emails; daily contact with teacher or deputy/headteacher if needed; involvement of parents in other school activities such as fell walking; Morecambe Carnival; Shakespeare Week; residentials; trips further afield such as London and Liverpool
Parents, Teachers and Friends Association – following discussions with parents regarding the PTFA and a greater unwillingness to join, the deputy headteacher became the co-leader of the group and there is now a greater parent presentation on the committee and events are now being more supported including the Bingo Night (which had had only 3 families last time, and this time about 40 people attended); the Quiz Night (8 teams coming); the annual Party on the field – more helpers and more families attending
Support for Families – Helpful booklets that have been developed to support parents with their child’s education at home
School Curriculum – this link takes you to the current school curriculum and all of the planning as we are keen to share as much as possible with parents so, again, they can support their child’s learning at home.
Community Links – from here, parents can see what links we have as a school and then also take up these connections if they wish – so some parents now help at different out of school clubs, or help and support different causes as a result. This page also provides parents with other options for support themselves as well as the support found on the AEN page for support for their child
School Policies – we have a wide variety of school policies which can be viewed and read at your leisure. These include curriculum subject policies as well as policeis which are led and managed by the Governing Body, assisting in the running of the school.
