We have received two new awards this Autumn term (2020-2021) for our work before and during lockdown. We also hold the Platinum School Games Award for another year, ready to re-apply in 2022. Check out our colourful certificates!
We are all very proud to have achieved the Gold Award for School Sports for 4 years running, and then in 2019 we achieved the Platinum award and are proud to be one of the few schools locally to have achieved this accolade! TrumacarPrimary_GOLD Mark Validation report.

As part of our Sports Campaign within school we have our very own Sports Crew who were trained under the Young Leaders umbrella by Lancaster City Council.
There are 167 children on roll in KS2, and we have all our Year 5’s trained as young leaders and with the rest of year 6 supporting for sporting events.This is an increase on last year’s membership of Young Leaders.
Their role included:
- Organising and planning our School Games Sports Day
- Organising and deciding contacts for School Games Sports Week
- Help with team selection and tactics for Intra and Inter school events
- Captains for the Local Teams Football Tournament
- Ran and organised Change4Life Club
- Ran and organised Key Skills Club
- Audit of the PE Cupboard and decide which equipment they would like
- Playground buddies with the KS1 children to aid their play using equipment
