Meet the Team

 Staff have consented to their images and names being used as per GDPR regulations.

All staff have been checked and verified by the Disclosure Barring Service and have been appointed following interview and satisfactory references. All governors, volunteers and visitors to the school are asked to provide their DBS certificate for verification before entering the school premises.

Senior Leadership Team:

Headteacher – Paul Slater 

Mr Slater is our Headteacher who also  works with other Headteachers and their schools.

Head of School – Ceri Hamer – English

This is our Head of School – Mrs Hamer. She runs the school alongside Mr Slater and makes sure the curriculum, our progress and all of our teaching are of a high standard.

Assistant Head and EYFS Leader- Clare Burrow

Mrs Burrow leads EYFS. She makes sure we are all learning as well as we possibly can.

Key Stage 1 Leader – Kathryn Morris

Miss Morris loves getting us to use the ipads in class as much as possible! She teaches us from Monday to Wednesday.

Key Stage 2 Leader – Jon Stark

Mr Stark loves having Year 6 and making sure we know as much as we possibly can whilst still having great fun in our learning.

SENDCO – Caroline Moorby

Mrs Moorby makes sure that everyone has the opportunity to do their best and achieve their dreams.

School Business Manager – Anthea Collin

Mrs Collin keeps Mr Slater in line with all of the school finances and makes sure he runs the school properly.

Teachers:

Nursery – Jennifer Smith – Design Technology

Mrs Smith is our Nursery Teacher. She welcomes new parents and children to our school with a big smile.

Reception 1 – Clare Burrow – EYFS, Equality, EYFS/KS1 English

Mrs Burrow leads EYFS. She makes sure we are all learning as well as we possibly can.

Reception/Year 1 – Julie Bowler – EYFS/KS1 Sport and Physical Development

Mrs Bowler loves being outside in all weathers – and we get to join her out there too!

Year 1 – Claire Morrey – Religious Education

Mrs Morrey loves to sing and loves it when we all join in!

Year 2A – Kathryn Morris – KS1 Mathematics, Student Placements

Miss Morris loves getting us to use the ipads in class as much as possible! She teaches us from Monday to Wednesday.

Year 2A – Eloise Hadwin – KS1 Mathematics

Mrs Hadwin is always smiling and laughing and loves teaching the infant children new and exciting things!

Year 2B – Gavin Wells – Primary Foreign Languages

Mr Wells sings, dances, acts, plays an instrument – maybe he should be on stage?

Year 3A – Heather Beckett – Computing

Mrs Beckett is a whizz on computers and makes sure we all know what to do – even the teachers!

Year 3B – Daniel Orr – Music

Mr Orr is an amazing guitarist and loves singing with us! He also likes carrying trays around for some reason…

Year 3/4 – Vicki Van Mechelen – Geography, Eco Schools, Choir

Miss Van loves being active in the classroom and getting everyone involved. She is also passionate about our Eco-Club.

Year 4 – Neil Saban – History, PSHE and Values, SRE

Mr Saban loves watching Morecambe Football Club and knows all sorts about History.

Year 5 – Lorraine Moore – Mathematics

Mrs Moore is really good at maths – and gets teased a lot by Mr Slater!

Year 5/6 – Chris Beckett – PE and School Sports

Mr Beckett is our Sports Leader and he wants us all to stay fit and healthy in our lives.

Year 6 – Jon Stark – Curriculum Development, Science

Mr Stark loves having Year 6 and making sure we know as much as we possibly can whilst still having great fun in our learning.

PPA – Helen Robinson – Art

Mrs Robinson teachers right across school, making sure that we all enjoy learning in every class!

PPA – Vanessa Armer

 

Mrs Armer is covering Mrs Beckett’s duties at the moment and also teaches Mrs Moore’s Year 5s every Tuesday

Learning Mentor – Sarah Kendall

Mrs Kendall is always busy – supporting families and making sure everything is ready for another Tigers Adventure!

Teaching Assistant – Jan Armistead

Mrs Armistead helps us with our English and Maths in class.

Teaching Assistant – Joanne Bentley

Mrs Bentley is always very funny and always laughing!

Teaching Assistant – Nicky Calverley

Mrs Calverley loves maths and enjoys supporting children in Years 5 and 6 to achieve their best.

Teaching Assistant – Madelaine Coleclough

Ms Coleclough makes our learning fun in the infants and really helps us.

Teaching Assistant – Amanda Edwards

Mrs Edwards loves being in Reception as the new children start school, and helping them get into routines quickly and happily.

Teaching Assistant – Zena Elliott-Rulliere

Mrs Elliot-Rulliere also takes Year 3A as a class on Friday, as well as supporting all of the children to do their best.

Teaching Assistant – Barbara Hayes

Mrs Hayes now works in Year 5/6 and keeps Mr Beckett in line whilst supporting a group of children.

Teaching Assistant – Kelly Hodgson

Mrs Hodgson loves working in school and with the children – and you can tell by her BIG smile.

Teaching Assistant – Carey Isherwood

Mrs Isherwood is soooo bubbly that she literally bounces around school!

Teaching Assistant – Paula Jenkinson

Ms Jenkinson keeps Mr Wells on the straight and narrow, and loves supporting the children to achieve their best.

Teaching Assistant – Lynne Keeley

Mrs Keeley helps with our Speech and Language and also helps settle Droopy the Dog when he comes into school for a visit.

Teaching Assistant – Julie McKay

Mrs McKay keeps us all in check and loves supporting the children in the upper juniors – she also always seems to have Mr Slater’s favourite Haribos…

Teaching Assistant – Lynne Morland

Mrs Morland works 1-1 a lot of the time and is always happy when she is helping around school.

Mrs Rawes is here, there and everywhere and is ALWAYS smiling – whichever job hat she is wearing!

Teaching Assistant – Caroline Shaw

Mrs Shaw loves helping each and every child and nothing is ever too much effort for her – all with a great smile too!

Teaching Assistant – Rebecca Stevenson

Miss Stevenson works in lots of classes and always makes sure that everyone is enjoying their learning.

Teaching Assistant – Juliet Trew

Miss Trew helps our Nursery children with all of their learning and exploring – and smiles all day long!

Mrs Trew works with Reception and is always praising them and encouraging them to do things that are new and exciting.

Mrs Viner works in Nursery part-time and helps the children to enjoy coming to school to learn and play.

Mrs Waterhouse works mainly 1-1 in Year 3 every day – but always has a sunny Hello for everyone she comes across!

Teaching Assistant – Sue Whitehead

Mrs Whitehead works part-time in the infants and helps us to create lovely work. She is very smiley!

Teaching Assistant- Karen Whiteside

Nothing is ever a problem for Mrs Whiteside and she is always smiling and laughing while she is working with us.

Teaching Assistant – Scott Wilcock

Mr Wilcock loves being at Trumacar and getting involved in all of the sport that is on offer for us!

Teaching Assistant – Clare Yiu

Mrs Yiu loves being in the Nursery and helping all of our new children to learn something new every day.

Midday Supervisor – Alison Aspinall

Mrs Aspinall loves singing along to songs at lunchtimes – especially at Christmas!

Midday Supervisor – Hilary Merrick

Mrs Merrick watches over the junior playground and is always on hand for a referee’s decision!

Welfare Assistant – Sandra Frizzle

Mrs Frizzle works with the infants and teaches them new games to play at lunchtimes.

Welfare Assistant – Kelly Hodgson

Mrs Hodgson loves working in school and with the children – and you can tell by her BIG smile.

Welfare Assistant – Chloe Johnstone

Mrs Johnstone makes sure we are already for lunch and then looks after us outside whilst we play.

Welfare Assistant – Lyndsey Kelly

Ms Kelly is great fun at lunchtime and likes seeing all of the children playing together.

Mrs McFall looks after us at lunchtime and always helps us if we are hurt.

Mrs Radcliffe loves working with us at lunchtimes and makes sure we are all alright.

Ms Watson has not long since become a Welfare assistant but the children love playing games with her.

Tigers Team:

Site and Cleaning Team:

Site Supervisor – Steve Bleasdale

This is Mr Bleasdale. He’s our Site Supervisor. He fixes things and makes sure the teachers leave on time!

Cleaner – Claire Caprani

Ms Caprani works hard to keep the school in tip top condition.
